We frequently feature artists who find their muse in nature or, at times, even use it as their medium. But sometimes nature can be it’s best artist, as seen here in beautifully intricate nests of the South African Sociable Weaver Bird. These birds, found in the Kalahari Desert, weave immense nest structures on the telephone poles that dot the arid landscape that house up to a hundred Sociable Weaver families, as well as other species of birds. South African photographer Dillon Marsh captures these breathtaking structures that are “at once inertly statuesque and teeming with life”. See the full series over at dillonmarsh.com. (We also really enjoyed his South Easter series).
