When we came across artist Melanie Hoff‘s new experimental wood art and accompanying stop-motion video, we were immediately taken. The process appears to involve placing nails into sheets of ply wood and then running a current through the nails into the wood which results in flowing, almost tree-like burns branching out from the nails.
