I lived on the island for over a month in the summer of 2011 breaking ground on a sustainable artist residency program. Working with a group of volunteers and with the support of our Kickstarter supporters we have already completed an Adirondack shelter which will serve as the main camp, a kitchen, library, fully stocked toolshed, and more. I’ll be returning to the island in 2012 with the goal of completing a small treehouse studio and creating work for a forthcoming exhibition related to Rabbit Island and the residency program.” – Andrew Ranville
